A founding principle of The Reach Free School is ensuring that it is at the heart of its community. Through our unique ‘Community Common Room’ sessions, pupils learn how to support the area surrounding the school by working towards shared goals and leading initiatives which demonstrate their pride in the community. This provides pupils with valuable skills and experience for the workplace and also teaches the importance of becoming responsible and proactive members of their community.
We also believe that a strong pupil voice instils a sense of pride and community involvement, and ensure that students are highly involved in decision-making at the school. The Reach Council is elected to enable pupils to contribute to the success of The Reach Free School not solely through their own achievements but through their ideas and initiatives for making the school even better.
Similarly, fundamental to a successful school is the strong partnership between staff and parents, guardians and carers. We want you to be involved in the life of the school and look forward to working together with you to determine the very best education for your child.
