Key Stage 3
In Key Stage 3 pupils follow the National Curriculum guidelines for Art and Design and enjoy working with professional visiting artists, participating in theatre and dance workshops and have the opportunity to experience one to one music tuition.
The curriculum in Creative Arts includes:
• Basic fundamental drawing techniques
• Colour theory
• 3-D sculptural work
• Puppet making
• Theatre and performance skills
• Optional music lessons
• Music workshops
• Optional ‘Glee Club’ elective
Key Stage 4
In Key Stage 4 pupils can study GCSEs in Art, Drama and Music, along with a vocational course in Art. They follow the programmes of study and the requirements of the examination boards selected.
Similarly, pupils may opt to further their study of Creative Arts by selecting to continue with their GCSE subjects into years 12 and 13.
