Key Stage 3 Science at The Reach Free School follows a 2.5-year science curriculum programme. Pupils are taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics in order to secure a solid grounding in the three disciplines prior to embarking upon their GCSE studies.
Key Stage 4
The majority of pupils will study the Edexcel Combined Science curriculum, which results in pupils getting two GCSEs in Science at the end of the course. Some pupils will be given the opportunity to study Triple Science and attain separate grades in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students have access to the textbook online, which is listed below in useful links. Core practical experiments make up part of the GCSE and a mandatory to pass in order to be able to obtain Science GCSEs.
In our Sixth Form, pupils have the opportunity to study for A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
