Hello, my name is Scout. People always think I’m a boy but I’m actually a girl, named after a character in a very famous book called ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ – Scout is a girl in that too. I am a Cockapoo. My mum is a Cocker Spaniel and my dad is a Toy Poodle.
I work at The Reach Free School. It’s tiring but I really enjoy it. I read with some of the pupils – I’ve read some fantastic books. I also do my own elective with the pupils, ‘Training with Scout’. They’ve taught me lots of tricks and the best bit is that I am given lots of tasty treats when I get things right…which is most of the time, if I do say so myself!
I also work with a charity called ‘DHK – Dogs Helping Kids’. There, I was taught how to behave myself at school and what it takes to be a great school dog. Like all the pupils here, I love coming to The Reach Free School. You get to meet lots of people, learn lots of new things and have lots of fun. I’ve never had a day off!
