The Reach Free School strives for academic excellence in every area of the curriculum and through a rigorous process, sets challenging, but ultimately achievable targets, for its pupils. Through high quality teaching, in brand new facilities, pupils demonstrate their thirst for learning. This, along with a personalised approach to education, is what makes this school a very happy and cohesive environment. The doors are always open at The Reach Free School for prospective parents and their children to visit and see for themselves the amazing things our pupils achieve every day.

The core ethos of the school is one we refer to as ACE; Achievement, Community and Enjoyment. Since day one, this ethos has embedded in all aspects of school life and can be observed in all aspects of work. Be it in: the achievements of pupils in their core lessons or elective sessions; the planning of local projects in Community Common Room; or the enjoyment of an impromptu game on our ‘MUGA’.

September 2018 saw us move to our new home and welcome a cohort of year 7 and year 12 pupils to the school.

Elsewhere on this website, you will find detailed information about the school curriculum, including topic titles and when they will be covered for each year group. Similarly, details of our electives programme, information about our staff and governors and other aspects which make our school unique, can also be found on this website.

In an area of selective education, The Reach Free School has a completely non-selective admissions process and therefore does not have any admissions tests or aptitude requirements. If you are looking to transfer your child from their existing secondary school, then please be aware that the school coordinates its own in year admissions and you can apply by clicking on the link here or by calling the school on 01923 711517. For those of you with children still in primary school, we are part of the Hertfordshire Admissions process and the school can be chosen as one of your secondary school option choices.

Our newsletter is produced every half term and is bursting with stories and photos which showcase some of the many achievements of our pupils. Please take a moment to read through this as it will certainly give you a flavour of our school.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the website and please contact me via email, head@reachfree.co.uk if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you in the near future.
