We work with Oxford University for university visits, outreach programmes and summer schools.
+ University of Warwick
Warwick offers taster days to allow students to experience life as a university student, and to see what an academic lecture would look like and to experience teaching from a university lecturer.
+ Brunel University
In addition to university visits, Brunel university provides our students with Q and A session, university financial advice and opportunities to meet current students.
+ Hunterlodge Advertising
A local advertising agency who provide our students with Advertising workshops and yearly group competitions.
+ AIM Apprenticeship
AIM Apprenticeships visit our students to give them a detailed overview of apprenticeships and how to make a successful application. In addition, they run employability skills workshops with our students.
+ Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh Gold award is embedded in our curriculum and we ensure that every student receives the best opportunity to achieve this award.
+ Optimising Futures
Optimising Futures is an organisation which specialise in providing students with expert guidance on their university application. The students are given advice and are helped to structure their personal statements and plan for university interviews.
+ BAM Construction Ltd
BAM Construction work with us to provide guidance on students who wish to work in the construction industry, apply for an apprenticeship or to achieve a degree apprenticeship.
+ Three Rivers Council
Three Rivers Council provide our students with work experience opportunities throughout the year. This year our Sport A Level students have completed sports development work experience with the council.
+ YGAM: Young Gamblers Education Trust
YGAM provide resources for our students and offer visits to make students aware of gambling and gaming addiction.
+ Distinctly
Distinctly are a award winning search marketing agency with a passion for helping businesses grow. Our students visit the business, tour the office, meet the team and receive a talk from the Managing Director about business, success and employability skills.
+ Unifrog
Unifrog are a fantastic company that provides our students with software that helps them track their academic and pastoral successes as well as all opportunities they encounter at school. It helps our students build incredible profiles. The software also helps them make informed decisions about their futures.
+ Just Talk Ambassadors
Just Talk is a multi-agency programme, steered by young people. It is a collaborative campaign designed to promote the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people (CYP) in Hertfordshire. Through co-production with CYP and other partners, Just Talk’s vision is to create a county in which all young people recognise that it’s ok to not be ok, feel comfortable and confident in talking about mental health, have tools for looking after their emotional wellbeing, and know how to access support when it’s needed. Our ambassadors run school wide awareness campaigns to support with the Just Talk message.
+ External speakers
We have numerous external speakers, depending on the desires and aspirations of our students. We have had talks from lawyers, civil service, marketing, as well as people who attended Oxford or Cambridge to talk about the application process.
UCAS+ Apprenticeship+ Ambassadors/ JCR Subject specific trips
+ KPMG
KPMG offer us the opening doors program, which allows the year 12s the opportunity to experience a working office, such as at KPMG. Professionals within KPMG will then help the year 12’s develop skills required for the working world.
+ SAS UK
Students taking part in these workshops get hands-on with data and gain a unique insight into how it can be used to tackle key global issues with fun and engaging activities. Students will also have the ability to network with professionals at this event.
+ UCAS discovery event
This allows students the chance to network and gain understanding of the universities, apprenticeships and courses that are open to them in the UK.
