Our Vision
The Reach Free School will be more than just a school; it will be a community. It will be a unique community working towards a goal of much greater stakes than examination results alone. Regardless of who you are, where you have been, what you know, our school will welcome you to contribute to our community but contribute you must.
Pupils, parents, staff and governors all will work towards cultivating a school community which creates opportunity. There will be opportunities to learn, grow and succeed, academically of course but just as importantly, individually. It is the individual’s kindness, motivation and resilience which will enable the best outcomes for all of us, separately and collectively, as a community and as a school.
Our school will welcome the talents of new children and adults alike, recognising that together we will learn and together we will flourish and our collective contributions will be at the core of our successes.

Our Mission
The Reach Free School’s objective is to keep our pupils at the heart of all that we do. Every plan, every decision, every step the school takes strives to account for the pupils’ best interests at every turn. An expectation is placed on governors, senior leaders, department heads, teachers and support staff to create an exceptional educational experience for all of our pupils. Consequently, our ethos of Achievement, Community and Enjoyment (ACE) engulfs everyone in the school. We work hard, we support each other and we smile more than we frown.
The Reach Free School recognises the value of the traditional curriculum but it also recognises that sometimes this is not enough to give all of our pupils the best opportunities for their future. As such, we offer additional learning experiences to empower everyone to explore their unique, and possibly untapped, talents and aspirations.
Pupils are people, not data. We know them - all of them. We promise to know, and teach them what they need to become the best versions of themselves today and tomorrow, within and beyond our school gates.

Achievement - The Reach Free School has high expectations for pupils’ achievement educationally and personally. Individual targets for attainment and conduct guide pupils towards successfully achieving their potential as learners and as members of their community, both during their time at school, and beyond in later life.
Community - The Reach Free School has developed a community spirit, which is built on mutual trust and responsibility. Pupils are taught to contribute to the school’s effectiveness by actively engaging in decision-making and establishing and driving new initiatives and projects within the school and the local community. Working together to succeed underpins learning and behaviour in the school. Cooperation and collaboration ensure that The Reach Free School experience is enjoyable for pupils, staff, parents, guardians and carers.
Enjoyment - The Reach Free School ensures that social and emotional aspects of learning are embedded in all that we do and through every activity that is delivered.
