Mr A Noble - Assistant Headteacher, Head of Sixth Form

It is my goal to give every Sixth Form student the best possible platform for success by the time they leave in Year 13 and to provide them with as many opportunities as possible during their time in Sixth Form.

Mr Noble has been an Assistant Headteacher for 10 years and a Head of Sixth Form for 11 years. He has vast experience helping students achieve their best and has assisted students in obtaining some of the country’s most prestigious university places, including Oxford and Cambridge. In addition, he has worked closely with students who wish to secure apprenticeships and helped them secure opportunities in some of the UK’s leading businesses. Mr Noble has worked with many sixth forms and has consulted other schools on how to best structure and implement sixth form opportunities. He designed the Reach Out programme to ensure that all students get teacher-led, pastoral progression every day. Mr Noble is is passionate about making The Reach Free School Sixth Form the highest achieving non-selective school in Hertfordshire.

Miss A Armitage - Head of Year 12

Miss Armitage is Head of Year 12 and works closely with students to ensure their pastoral and academic success in sixth form.

Miss Armitage has embedded a new careers pathway at sixth form ensuring all students receive bespoke support for their chosen careers. In addition Miss Armitage ensures all students have access to a rich supercurricular programme leading the delivery of Year 12 Reach Out and the Reach Community Action Award.




Mr R Sendall - Head of Year 13

Mr Sendall is Head of Year 13 and has responsibility for the pastoral and academic success of our year 13 students. He has a wealth of experience at preparing students for higher education and the UCAS application process. He has been a member of the sixth form team for 4 years with a strong track record of helping individuals and groups achieve top grades both as a form tutor, class teacher and head of year.

Mr Sendall prides himself on ensuring his year 13 students are achieving the best that can in their academic subjects, whilst also being involved in the wider school through mentoring, volunteering and the Reach Out programme. All year 13 students are privileged to have one to one support form Mr Sendall with regard to their UCAS or apprenticeship applications.
